Railway Children - The Need

• There are an estimated 12 million children living on the streets in India.
• This is the equivalent to every child in the UK living on the streets.
• Every 14 seconds a child is orphaned in Sub-Saharan Africa, many of these will become street children.
• There are 100,000 runaway children in the UK. That's enough to fill the new Wembley stadium and still leave 10,000 outside.
• There are an estimated 140 million street children around the world (UNICEF)
